BrainServe has selected Piller to provide 6 MW of power conditioning for the first phase of their new data centre currently being built in Lausanne (Switzerland). The project will be essentially completed by the end of 2010 with threeofPiller’s high capacity UBTD 2500kVA (2MW single output) diesel rotary UPS systems to be installed in a first phase. Additional machines will be installed as the data centre’s power requirement increases.
Guillaume Lafont, Managing Director of Piller France said “This order, coming on the heels of Global Switch order for the 12 MW (on day one) extension of their Paris datacentre (also for 2MW single output DRUPS), attests to the competitiveness of our top range diesel rotary UPS, the UBTD 2500, capable of providing up to 2250 kW of UPS power with a 0.9 leading power factor at the load side”
As with all Piller power conditioning systems, the equipment will be built at Piller's facilities in Germany - the most comprehensive of their kind in the world. Piller France SAS will supply the equipment, commission it and provide maintenance services after hand over.
