Bergen\u2019s natural gas gensets will provide continuous on-site baseload power generation capability\u00a0to support 24\/7 compute workloads<\/a>\u00a0as demand scales.<\/p>\n Under the agreement, Bergen will supply\u00a027 x B36:45V20AG2 (12.5MWe)<\/a>\u00a0gensets alongside\u00a020 x B36:45L9AG (5MWe)<\/a>\u00a0as part of the initial 438 MW contract. The 310 MW LOI includes additional units of the same platforms. The engines will be delivered to multiple Crusoe data center locations in the US, phased through 2027.<\/p>\n The gensets feature alternators from\u00a0Marelli Motori<\/a>\u00a0and integrated with\u00a0SHIELD-X\u2122 Dynamic Power Stabilization technology<\/a>\u00a0from\u00a0Piller Power Systems<\/a>\u00a0to counteract rapid changes in electricity demand, which become more common with computing-intensive tasks.<\/p>\n \u201cAI workloads have a distinct power profile that demands purpose-built generation and stabilization technology\u201d said Dean Richards, CEO of Piller Power Systems. \u201cSHIELD-X\u2122 is designed to manage those dynamics, protecting the generation assets and maintaining stable plant operation, while ensuring consistent power quality for the data center.\u201d<\/p>\n Operators of AI data centers need infrastructure capable of handling dense computing clusters that can use large amounts of power.
