Grid-Free Power. Always On.
Langley Holdings’ Power Solutions Division unites three world-class engineering names – BERGEN Engines of Norway (formerly Rolls-Royce Bergen Engines), Marelli Motori of Italy, and Piller Power Systems of Germany – to deliver modular, utility-grade power anywhere the grid can’t reach or keep up.
Modular Power for the World's Most Demanding Applications
When the grid can’t reach or is restricted, our integrated behind-the-meter power platform delivers continuous, utility-grade electricity to almost anywhere on earth.
At its heart are Bergen Engines of Norway and Marelli Motori of Italy – two world-class names in continuous-duty generation. Bergen Engines, formerly part of Rolls-Royce, bring over 75 years of medium-speed engine expertise, powering some of the most demanding installations worldwide. Marelli’s alternators – trusted as one of the largest OEM suppliers to Caterpillar – convert that power with uncompromising quality.
This modular platform scales in 12 MW increments, from 12 MW to 500 MW+, with fuel flexibility that includes natural gas, LNG, liquid fuels, and up to 25% hydrogen blend without modification – and ready for tomorrow’s zero-carbon fuels.
Proven in the Harshest Conditions
The 170 MW Iron Bridge power plant in Western Australia is a showcase of what our platform can achieve. Combining Bergen/Marelli base-load generation with 150 MW of solar, it powers a remote mine and township located more than 100 km from the nearest grid connection – delivering stable, continuous electricity in one of the most challenging operating environments on the planet.
That same proven technology now powers the next generation of mission-critical AI data centers, hybrid renewable installations, and large-scale industrial facilities.
SHIELDX™ - Power conditioning for AI computing environments
For hyperscale and AI-intensive data centers, base-load generation alone isn’t enough – the power must be perfect.
That’s where Piller’s SHIELDX™ Dynamic Power Stabilization comes in. Built to handle full-scale AI transient load steps in real time, SHIELDX™ provides:
- Tier IV fault tolerance and up to 99.999% uptime
- True short-circuit contribution and high fault-clearing capability
- Zero energy storage degradation over its lifecycle
- Precise voltage and frequency stability under any load profile
Piller technology is already trusted to protect some of the worlds most critical infrastructure – including the Bank of England, New York Stock Exchange, London Stock Exchange, the Federal Reserve and the CIA. With SHIELDX™, data centers gain that same uncompromising level of conditioning, resilience and security – whether paired with on-site generation, hybrid renewables, or the utility grid.
Nothing protects quite like Piller.
Rapid Deployment, Infinite Flexibility
While new grid connections can take up to a decade, our modular approach means your power is online in months, not years – faster than any other high capacity solution. Start with the capacity you need today, then scale in 12 MW steps as demand grows – up to 500 MW+.
Still want backup standby operations? Our platform can be configured to deliver rapid-start capability, bringing full load generation online in minutes when you need it most.
Whether it’s:
- Continuous base-load for a remote mine
- Hybrid renewable integration for industrial power
- Ultra-stable power for a hyperscale AI data center
…our platform delivers grid-free certainty with the speed, reliability, and flexibility your projects demand.
